Hello everyone!

Here is our class page that will give you a little overview.

PE:
PE lessons will be on a Monday and Thursday.  Please wear your PE kit or suitable clothing and shoes to school ready to participate in the PE session.

Reading Books:
children should have their reading books in school each day and  will have 2 or 3 reading books (depending on stage) to take home to read and enjoy with your family unless you are reading a larger novel. These books will be changed on a Monday and a Friday.  We encourage our children at Harby to try and read daily at home to support their reading progress - please jot down in their reading diaries what they have read.  Please make sure that you bring your book bag and books everyday to school so you can enjoy reading with your friends and teachers within class too.

Times tables
Your child will soon be given some resources to help them work on focus times tables. Please support them in learning to recall their tables in order and then out of order. Children now have their logins for Times table rock stars. If they can go on this will help them improve their speed of recall.

SPAG - Spellings, punctuation and grammar
We will be giving out spellings on a Monday and working on them in school through the week. Please work on these through the week by playing games like hangman, typing them on the computer, writing them out in different colours, use flash cards, post its around the house. Look for words within words, families of words with similar spellings or make up a funny sentence or rhyme to help recall of the spellings.
In addition, there will be a short grammar task that will be given in their homework books so that they are reviewing basic skills. If your child is struggling with these please encourage them to come and talk to us. Some children may need an alternative task.

Water Bottles:
Please bring a water bottle to school each day so you can keep hydrated during the school day. Your teachers will refill your water bottles throughout the day.

Personal Isolation:
In the event of a personal isolation due to Covid, please inform the office and if your child is well enough they can do some work while they are away. You will find a basic timetable of the week's learning under at the bottom of this page.
We will also upload more detail and any additional resources to our Class 3 TEAMs page when needed.

(Class 3 - General Files - Class materials - Week ending.(date)...)

Please share any learning at home via Seesaw.

Teachers:
Mrs. Hodder: will be teaching on a Monday to Thursday morning.
Mrs. Mill: will be teaching Thursday afternoon and Friday.

Please feel free to talk to any many of the Class 3 team or message us on Seesaw  if you have any questions or concerns. We are more than happy to help.
