Our School
Our school is a popular, small rural primary school. Our latest OFSTED inspection in 2019 judged the school to be 'requiring improvement' and as a result of this, with support from the Local Authority and the Oadby Learning Partnership, the school has implemented a thorough development plan to make sure improvements are made in preparation for our next inspection. Prior to this, in 2010, OFSTED judged the school as 'outstanding'; this was the school's third consecutive 'outstanding' judgement.
The school is at the heart of the community and places great emphasis on its relationships with children, parents and other members of the community.
Our school aims to provide a friendly caring and secure environment, in which all the children are valued and achieve their full potential.
So how can we do this?
The School Building
The school was built in 1860, but it has been extensively remodelled to provide an attractive and spacious learning environment.
The school comprises of
The Grounds
The school has a large and attractive site, with a field for sports, a wild area with a pond, a summer house, a peace garden and a Millennium seated area. The playground has been enlarged and resurfaced and has a variety of games and activities including an activity trail. There are dedicated outside areas for Foundation Stage and Y1 pupils and also for Y2 which are both covered.
The pupils contributed greatly to the design of the outdoor space and are justly proud.
